Its a Boy!

Daniel and I are now the proud parents of Wallace Shi-Wing Talley... formerly Shi-Wing Chan of Hong Kong. He is our 3rd child after Gabe (6) and Emma (4). Wallace has down syndrome and turned 6 years old on November 11, 2010 - just 9 days before we met him for the first time. He reached American soil on November 26th, where he met his brother, sister and grandmothers for the first time. He has been home 8 months and 2 days.

Today, we went to the courthouse and I took a pic of all 3 kids... sorry, pics are pretty much straight out of the camera, but you can click on them to view them bigger.
Here is the judge signing the approval!A real family... :)And a HUGE thanks to Lynn Mullins (our social worker), Dennis Ellingburg (friend and pastor) and Alice Talley (Daniel's mom) for coming to support us.... there arent words enough to say how much this meant. And I also had a few tball pics on the camera, so thought you might like to see those as well... Wallace played Challenger ball at the park this summer.batting... Emma was his running partnerI love this picture.Going home!So now, we are officially a family of five... and I can finally put pictures up... its been a struggle to have a million pictures of your family and not be able to post them.... so now I can breathe a sigh of relief and you can enjoy.... :)

The Handy Family: Columbus Ms Photographer

Well, I know Ive taken forever, but I am finally caught up on all my portrait sessions being on the blog... after this, its just weddings for awhile. And what a way to end the portrait sessions -with a total bang... if I didnt tell you these were real clients, then you would have thought I went out and hired models, wouldnt you? Goodness, I love my life! yeah, it doesnt hurt that they were the nicest people too... it really just doesnt get any better.Look at this face! Seriously... heartbreaker in the making!I love movement pictures... :)Again... that face! She was just absolutely gorgeous. One of my favorites. There is just something magic about these....And of course, we ended the session with a smile!Thank you Handy family for braving it out in the heat... yall are amazing, and I loved every minute I got to spend with you. Thank you for letting me take some incredible pictures.

Ahhhhhh.... yes, I have taken forever to get something up on the blog. It has definitely been a season - a season of taking a break and being broken. Neither one is always wanted, but both will make you better in the end. I guess right now, Im just at a transition point in my life... really trying to figure out what I want and what I need... and that includes this whole photography shebang. I am trying to figure out who I am and what I really want to do and where I want to take this. Yes, there will be some changes... but the more I look toward the future, the more excited I am getting. I have seriously been inspired lately and I am getting back to my roots and will soon be doing some personal, creative projects. Getting back to what makes me happy - so in turn, I can work harder and be even better for all of you.

So I wanted to thank you for all of your support and encouragement... it has truly been amazing.

Also, I need your opinion... do you like this blog? Is it worth it... it doesnt seem like anyone is reading or is interested anymore with it, so Im just wondering if maybe there are other things that you would like to see, or that I could spend time on... just curious... what do you think?

Im doing a cool new giveaway on my facebook page... click on the banner on the top right side of the page, like my page and read all about it... :) You definitely dont want to miss this one!

Caitlyn and Tyler: Columbus MS Photographer

I was so excited to finally get to work with Caitlyn and Reed.. their mama was my best friend in high school... we were two peas in a pod! I was so excited for her when she married her high school sweetheart and then when she had these two gorgeous babies! And her kids are pretty much like mine... there is no denying that these are her kids... :) Both Caitlyn and Tyler have the most gorgeous eyes... oh my goodness, Reed is going to have to have a big stick to keep the boys off for when Caitlyn gets into high school! The eyelashes! (click to view larger)I love this one... it makes me think of a Gap Kids ad... :)Wow, has this heat been getting to everyone as much as it has us? We can barely stand to be outside.... Thankfully, its most (inside) weddings for July, and then lots of creative stuff in August, so nothing too bad. But I am definitly looking forward to getting back into my portrait sessions for September and October - those are always some of my favorites... and they book up really fast, so please dont wait to make your appointment.

Is anyone interested in fall mini-sessions again?

Anyway... lots of good stuff going on... including a SUPER AWESOME, EASY, TOTALLY RAD contest going on on facebook right now - just click the link on the right side of the page...

I would love to hear from you! Email me at talleyimages@yahoo.com or feel free to make my day and leave a comment!
